Overview
TEMPER ("the App") is developed and operated by BLAUWART INTERNATIONAL. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use TEMPER on your iOS device.
Data We Collect
TEMPER collects minimal data necessary to operate the app:
- Habit data — your habits, completion status, and scores are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and iCloud backup (if enabled).
- Purchase information — when you subscribe or make a purchase, transactions are processed by Apple and RevenueCat. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but not your payment details.
- Anonymous usage data — we use PostHog to collect anonymized usage analytics (screen views, feature interactions), Tenjin and AppSprint for app install attribution and marketing measurement. This data cannot be used to identify you personally and does not include any habit names, scores, or personal information.
- Device information — basic technical data (OS version, device type) used for crash reporting via Sentry.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not require you to create an account.
- We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal identifiers.
- We do not track your location.
- We do not sell your data to advertisers.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, or camera.
Local Storage & iCloud
Your habit data is stored locally on your device. If you have iCloud enabled on your device, your data may be backed up to your personal iCloud account as part of Apple's standard iCloud backup service. This backup is controlled entirely by you through your iOS settings.
In-App Purchases
TEMPER offers optional premium subscriptions and a lifetime purchase processed through Apple's App Store. All payment transactions are handled by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat may collect anonymous identifiers to verify your subscription. You can review RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Crash Reporting
We use Sentry to collect anonymous crash reports when the app encounters an error. These reports include technical information about the crash (device type, OS version, stack trace) but do not include any personal or habit data. Crash data is retained for 90 days and automatically deleted. You can review Sentry's privacy policy at sentry.io/privacy.
Analytics & Attribution
We use PostHog for product analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate. We use Tenjin and AppSprint for install attribution and marketing measurement to understand which channels drive downloads. All three services receive only anonymized data. No habit names, scores, or personal information are transmitted to any of these services.
Push Notifications
TEMPER may send you local push notifications to remind you to complete your habits. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and do not involve transmitting data to our servers. You can disable notifications at any time in your iOS Settings.
Children's Privacy
TEMPER is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.
Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any data associated with your use of TEMPER by contacting us at contact@jointemper.com. Since habit data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app. We will respond to any data request within 30 days.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
